Looking for pregnancy help in Dayton, Ohio

What does “Real Love” feel like?

Where to start???  My boyfriend and I were on and off.  We really cared about each other “but!”  We had been together for awhile and we were having sex but something wasn’t right.  We were only 19 and we didn’t want to be too serious too soon!  So we split for awhile.  We still saw each other around but nothing serious.  I admit I liked to party and even though I was only 19 there was booze at most of the parties.  One night I had way too much and so did a ‘friend of mine,’ or at least I thought he was a friend.  He raped me and I felt like it was my fault because I was pretty drunk, but I did say no and I tried to stop him.

Soon after that my boyfriend and I got back together and then I find out I’m pregnant.  I don’t know who the father is?!?  I told my boyfriend about everything and he says it’s OK.  He’ll support me no matter who the father is.

I was so messed up and did not really know what to do. A friend suggested I go to Women’s Center East (in Dayton, Ohio) for an ultrasound.  I was thinking maybe they could tell me who the father is and sort through some things that were bothering me.  I spent a long time talking with the consultant about my concerns.  She just listened and offered to help in any way she could.

They really have some nice programs that can help with getting stuff for your baby and at the same time help you understanding what’s going on during your pregnancy.

I had an ultrasound that day but the nurse told me I would probably need DNA testing to know for sure who the baby’s father was.  Once I saw the ultrasound screen and heard my baby’s heart beating I started to cry.  I loved my baby no matter who the father was.  When my boyfriend came back and saw the pictures he felt the same way.  Now I know what real love feels like.
